Nook pools group pty Ltd (ABN 38 693 246 196), trading as Nook Plunge, operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through nookplunge.com.au, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect
We only collect personal information you choose to give us. There is no account system on this site and nothing is required to browse it.
Through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, an optional phone number, and whatever you write in the message.
Through the price estimator, we collect your first and last name, email address, an optional phone number, and the street address, suburb, state and postcode of the property where the pool would go. We also collect your answers about the pool model, the internal finish, how the pool should sit, whether the site slopes, the access width, your timeframe, how you heard about us, and any notes you add.
Automatically, with every form submission, we record the IP address the submission came from, your browser’s user-agent string, the page you were on, and basic referral information such as the page or campaign that brought you to the site. This is used to filter automated spam and to understand which marketing is working. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
We do not collect payment details on this site, we do not ask for identity documents, and we do not collect sensitive information as that term is defined in the Privacy Act.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare a price or proposal for your project
- arrange a site assessment where one is needed
- keep a record of the enquiry so we can pick up the conversation later
- detect and filter automated spam submissions
- understand which marketing channels bring us genuine enquiries
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We will not add you to a marketing list on the strength of an enquiry alone. If we ever start sending marketing email, it will be to people who have asked for it, and every message will carry an unsubscribe link as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies, runs no remarketing, and does no cross-site tracking.
Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. This site loads Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics 4. That means Google receives your IP address, the pages you view, and basic information about your browser and device, and uses first-party analytics cookies to tell one visit from another. We use it only to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. We do not use it to build advertising audiences, and we do not run remarketing. Blocking Google’s scripts with a browser extension will not stop you using any part of this site.
reCAPTCHA. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, which sets the _GRECAPTCHA
cookie and analyses how the page is used in order to tell a person from a bot. Google’s
Privacy Policy and
Terms apply to that processing. We store the resulting score
against your enquiry so that a wrongly-flagged submission can be found and recovered.
First-party referral record. A form submission stores a small amount of first-party referral information in your browser, so that if you return later and enquire we can tell which campaign originally brought you here. It is first-party, it is not shared, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
One-off notice. We store a single flag in your browser to remember that you have already been shown our introductory message, so you are not shown it repeatedly.
Who we share it with, and where it is stored
Your submission is stored in a database hosted by Cloudflare and is sent to us by email through SendGrid (Twilio). Both are overseas providers, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia.
By submitting a form you consent to that overseas disclosure. If you would rather not have your information leave Australia, contact us and we will take your enquiry another way.
We do not disclose your information to anyone else unless you ask us to, or unless we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably need them to deal with your project and to meet our record-keeping obligations. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
Security
Form submissions travel over HTTPS. Access to the enquiry records is restricted to authorised people and protected by an access token. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within a reasonable time and we will not charge you for making the request.
Contact route to be confirmed. A dedicated privacy contact address for Nook Plunge has not been set up yet. Until it is, use the contact form on this site and mark your message “Privacy request”, and we will handle it the same way.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, tell us first through the contact form and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
